Get started in the world of competitive Pokémon at League Challenge and League Cup tournaments.* These events are smaller, local events at recognized Play! Pokémon Stores that feature Pokémon TCG, Pokémon video game (VGC), and Pokémon GO competitions. League Challenges are entry-level competitions suitable for players of all experience levels. League Cup competitions are a step up from League Challenges—players can expect tougher competitors vying for higher rewards.

In Pokémon League Challenge and League Cup tournaments, players can earn season-long rewards, as well as Championship Points that go toward earning an invitation to the World Championships!

League Challenge and League Cup events are open to all players.

Players must have a Pokémon Trainer Club account with a Player ID attached, and must have opted in to the Play! Pokémon program in order to earn points and prizes. If you do not have one, we can provide you with one.
